Anaklia hosts rally in support of "KaZantip" Festival

A rally was held in the Georgian village of Anaklia. Participants of the rally spoke in support of the "KaZantip" Festival. They have stated that the event will contribute to the region's development and well-being of every family. The rally took place simultaneously with the Tbilisi rally, participants of which demanded to cancel the festival.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 26, in front of the government office in Tbilisi, a protest action was held. Protestors demanded to ban holding the "KaZantip" Festival in Georgia. They have noted the inadmissibility of moral standards promoted by the festival.

The action in support of the festival held on July 26 in Anaklia was attended by local residents, tourists, and journalists. At the action, some people delivered speeches and said that local residents took loans from banks to arrange the appropriate infrastructure for tourists, the "Georgia Online" reports.

"How are we going to pay debts to banks, if the festival does not take place and tourists do not come? <...> No, the festival is to take place, at least in the current year. And in the future, we will decide whether we need it or we do not," the "Echo of the Caucasus" quotes Zhanna Tskhadai, a participant of the action, as saying.
