One of Ukrainian servicemen hospitalized in Rostov Region dies

The Ukrainian border guard, who was hospitalized on July 16 to the hospital of the district centre Kuibyshevo of the Rostov Region, died on Thursday, July 17, said the Regional Ministry of Public Health. The second Ukrainian border guard, hospitalized in Kuibyshevo, as well as four out of the 16 soldiers taken to the hospital of the village of Gukovo, are in grave condition, informed the health facility. At night, four other militaries from Ukraine were hospitalized in Gukovo.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 16, two Ukrainian border guards, wounded in an armed clash near the border village of Marinovka, located in the Ukrainian territory near the Russian border checkpoint "Kuibyshevo", were taken to the hospital of the above district centre of the Rostov Region.

The servicemen were placed to the Russian hospital, as, according to their version, during the armed clash in Ukraine, they were surrounded and could not wait for evacuation.

At the hospital, the soldiers were visited by the OSCE evaluation mission. "They asked us about how we got here, where we are from, and wished us a fast recovery," the RIA "Novosti" quotes one of the hospitalized border guards.
