Ex-head of Kizilyurt GOVD was murdered with utmost cruelty - source

In Dagestan, a "Caucasian Knot" source from the law enforcement agencies has reported the details of the murder of Police Colonel Aitemir Salimgereev committed in Kizilyurt. Attackers handcuffed the owner of the house to a metal heating pipe and tied him with a cord. Then, they inflicted multiple stab wounds to him and cut off the Aitemir Salimgereev's head. His son, who witnessed the murder of his father, was not injured, said the source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 9, Aitemir Salimgereev, the ex-head of the GOVD (City Interior Division), was killed in his house in one of the suburban communities of Kizilyurt. The main version associates the murder with Aitemir Salimgereev's professional activities. According to the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), the attackers tortured the man prior to kill him.

His son, who was forced to watch his father's murder, is still in shock. Nevertheless, he is testifying. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it by a source from Dagestani law enforcement bodies.

According to the source, no suspects have been detained yet.
