Policeman dies in shelled car in Khasavyurt District of Dagestan

Today, in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, unidentified persons have shelled a car with two persons inside it. One of them was a policeman and he died from his wounds. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan.

The incident occurred at about 8:30 a.m. Moscow time.

"Police Major was driving in his car to his working place in the village of Yubileiny. His car was blocked by a white Lada Priora car, and passengers opened fire," the newspaper "Chernovik" (Draft) quotes the Spokesperson of the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) as saying.

The passengers of the car were brought to hospital with gunshot wounds. Later, the police officer died. This was reported by the website of the Dagestani MIA.

According to the Dagestani MIA, law enforcement agencies are searching for the persons involved in the shelling of the policeman's car.
