Law enforcers report on identification of two suspected militants killed in Dagestan

This morning, during the special operation conducted in Derbent, a man, who was hiding in a cordoned off house, was killed. One more special operation, during which a man was killed, was conducted in Makhachkala.

According to the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), militants killed in Makhachkala and Derbent have been identified. According to law enforcers, the killed militants are Makhach Taimudarov, one of the leaders of the Dagestani underground, and Malik Ulubekov, a member of the Sogratl grouping.

Makhach Taimudarov was a militant responsible for the ideological preparation of the young residents of Dagestan aimed at recruiting fighters, and Malik Ulubekov took a direct part in the attack on policemen committed in the vicinities of the village of Sogratl, as a result of which three policemen were killed and ten other were wounded. During the special operation in Derbent, two women - the common-law wife and the mother of the killed man - left the house cordoned off by the law enforcers. When offered to surrender, Malik Ulubekov himself refused to lay down arms, and he was killed during the shootout. This was reported by the RIA "Dagestan".
