MIA reports on elimination of three militants in Makhachkala

Tonight, in Makhachkala, during the shootout that occurred at the crossing of Yaragsky and Irchi Kazak Streets, policemen have killed three members of illegal armed formations (IAFs). A passerby was wounded. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan.

The incident occurred at about 11:00 p.m., when the policemen tried to stop a Lada Priora car to check the documents. Persons in the car started to shoot at the policemen. According to the MIA, the assailants were killed by return fire.

As a result of the shootout, a local resident, born in 1991, who appeared to be not far from the place of the incident, was hospitalized to the Makhachkala hospital with a gunshot wound in his chest. This was reported by the statement published on the website of the MIA for the Republic of Dagestan.

The men killed during the shootout with the law enforcers were members of the terrorist grouping "Makhachkala". This was reported by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF). They were identified as 29-year-old Osman Aliev, 31-year-old Arslan Temirov, and 23-year-old Batyr Amaev.
