"EcoWatch" reports on detention of its activist in Krasnodar

Vyacheslav Martynov, an activist of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch), has been detained during his solo picket in defence of ecologist Evgeny Vitishko, who is serving his sentence in prison on charges of inflicting damage to the fence around the land plot, known as a "summer cottage" of the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory.

The solo picket in defence of Evgeny Vitishko was held on Thursday in the centre of Krasnodar. According to the "EcoWatch", Vyacheslav Martynov was detained on the suspicion of committing a theft. The solo picket was continued by Viktor Chirikov, another activist of the "EcoWatch".

According to the "EcoWatch", Vyacheslav Martynov has been detained for the second time. Earlier, he was detained together with his two colleagues for distribution of the anarchist information sheet "Samoupravlenie" (Self-Administration); however, he was released soon.
