MIA: man who shelled policemen shot dead in KBR
On April 18, in the city of Nalchik, unidentified man opened fire at policemen who tried to check his documents, says the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR). He was shot dead by response fire, while none of the policemen was hurt.
The armed clash occurred around 1:30 p.m. in the outskirt of Nalchik, near the trolleybus department (district "Dubki").
The casualty is Khyzyr Begiev, a KBR resident, born in 1978, the ITAR-TASS reported, citing a source in the regional MIA. "He was a member of an armed bandit grouping," the edition named "Ytro" adds by quoting its law enforcement source.
