US special services accuse Russia of concealing information about Tamerlan Tsarnaev

Russia had had more information about the intentions of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, a native of Chechnya and one of the organizers of the terror act during the marathon run in the US city of Boston, but did not share it with the FBI, says the inspectors' report on the check of the actions of the CIA to prevent the terror act.

According to the report, in 2011, Russia's agents only informed the FBI that Tsarnaev "was a supporter of radical Islam and a deeply religious person." Besides, according to US sources, the Russian Federation had several times refused to provide the FBI with additional information about Tsarnaev, and passed it over only after the explosion in Boston in April 2013.

Thus, the Russians reported about the intercepted Tamerlan Tsarnaev's conversation with his mother, during which "they discussed the topic of Islamic Jihad", the "Interfax" reports referring to the newspaper "The New York Times".

Some lawmakers have noted that local law enforcement bodies play a crucial role in preventing terror acts and other emergencies and in responding to such situations, while federal agencies should share information with them, the "Voice of America" reports.
