In North Ossetia, ecologist Anatoly Kolkhidov may suspend his participation in social life of region
In North Ossetia, Anatoly Kolkhidov, an activist of the movement "Stop 'Electrozink'", who was released on March 31 on recognizance not to leave, may suspend his participation in the ecological movement and social life of the region. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Anatoly Kolkhidov himself.
Let us remind you that on February 26, Anatoly Kolkhidov, the organizer of rallies against the "Electrozink" plant, was detained on suspicion of robbery. The Soviet Court of Vladikavkaz pronounced the decision to arrest Anatoly Kolkhidov till April 27 for the period of the preliminary investigation. On March 31, the Court pronounced the decision to change the pre-trial restriction measure to recognizance not to leave.
According to Anatoly Kolkhidov, the change of the pre-trial restriction measure became possible after the investigative actions involving "victim party" were conducted.
"Given that there were no acts of robbery, they had to release me from custody," Anatoly Kolkhidov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Anatoly Kolkhidov has not yet made any decision regarding his further participation in political and public life of the republic. "The whole story dealt a big blow to my parents, who are persons with disabilities," Anatoly Kolkhidov has stated.
Experts associate the prosecution of the activists with his political and social activities.
