During four years 5291 people suffered from conflict in North Caucasus, more than half – in Dagestan

In the period from 2010 to the beginning of 2014, the number of victims, which includes the casualties and wounded persons, of the armed conflict in North Caucasus has decreased from 1705 persons in 2010 down to 986 in 2013, which is clearly shown in the infographics prepared by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own data and information from other open sources.

During these four years, the number of wounded persons in the regions of North Caucasus decreased steadily each year from 956 persons in 2010 down to 457 in 2013. The dynamics of casualties is different – in 2010 and 2011 the number did not change: 749 and 750 persons, respectively. In 2012, the death toll dropped to 700, and in 2013 there was a sharp decline down to 529 casualties.

Dagestan remains the undisputed leader in the number of victims among the regions of North Caucasus with 2845 victims during the four years, or almost 54 percent of the total for seven regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD).

The full information can be found in the material "Infographics: statistics of victims in North Caucasus in 2010-2013" according to the 'Caucasian Knot'".
