Khasavyurt Mayoralty refused to sanction picket of Novosasitli villagers against police voluntarism

Today, bureaucrats of the Mayoralty of the city of Khasavyurt have refused to sanction the applied protest action referring to the absence of information about the organizer of the action in the application, said a resident of the village of Novosasitli.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 13 villagers of Novosasitli, Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, filed a notification to the Mayoralty about their rally scheduled for March 17 against the illegal, in their opinion, actions of the district police against the villagers.

One of the villagers, who wanted to take part in the rally, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that until today the Mayoralty had not reported their decision to the organizers.

"They said they would give an answer today at 11:00 a.m. Eventually, the rejected the application for formal reasons – allegedly, the organizer was not indicated," said one of the villagers.

So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments from the Khasavyurt Mayoralty regarding statements of local residents.

However, on March 13, when the application was submitted, an employee of the Office of the Mayoralty said several names of organizers were present in the document.
