Large hideout with weapons found in Dagestan

In a residential building in Buynaksk, FSB officers found a large hiding with weapons and ammunition.

The hiding was found on March 11 as a result of operational and search activities in the house located in Gamid Dolgat Street. Earlier, one of the suspected militants killed in last September lived in that house. The hiding was installed behind a secret wall of the box room.

In the hiding, the FSB officers found four ready-to-use improvised explosive devices (IEDs) of total capacity of about 25 kg of TNT equivalent, a sub-machine gun, a rocket launcher, a sniper rifle, a night observation device, an anti-tank mine, grenades, components to make IEDs, military equipment, and large quantities of ammunition.

Law enforcers believe that the "Buynaksk grouping" planned to use those homemade bombs to commit terror acts in Dagestan. This was reported by the website of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) on March 12.
