Navalny: Krasnodar authorities send 30% of educators to Olympic Torch Relay

Alexei Navalny, a blogger and the leader of the unregistered "People's Alliance" Party, has spread information that the authorities of Krasnodar urge the bosses of the local Department of Education to ensure the presence of 30% of city teachers at the celebration of the Olympic Torch Relay on February 4.

A copy of the document posted on February 1 in Navalny's blog says that the Krasnodar City Mayor Vladimir Evlanov asks Iosif Gamzaev, the Director of the Department of Education of the Krasnodar Administration, to ensure the presence of educators at the festivities. The document states that this should be done within the programmed named "Spectator", according to which at least 70,000 should welcome the Torch Relay.

"Mayor of Krasnodar orders to drive 30% of city teachers and kindergarten educators to the joyful welcoming of the Olympic Flame," Navalny has explained.

So far, no comments are available from Evlanov and Gamzaev regarding the authenticity of the widespread document.
