NAC: terror acts in Volgograd were committed by suicide bombers Asker Samedov and Suleiman Magomedov

The initiators of terror acts committed on December 29 and 30, 2013, in Volgograd have been identified by the Buynaksk militants Asker Samedov and Suleiman Magomedov, said the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier Oksana Aslanova, 26, a native of Dagestan, and Pavel Pechonkin, 32, a native of the Mari El Republic, were reported as the alleged suicide bombers, who committed the terror acts on December 29 at the railway station and on December 30 in a trolleybus.

Both suicide bombers were members of the "Buynaksk" terrorist grouping, the RIA "Novosti" reports quoting the NAC.

The bombers had been identified earlier, but their names were not disclosed in the interests of the investigation, the ITAR-TASS writes referring to the NAC.

Earlier, a source from law enforcement bodies named Asker Samedov, 23, and Magomed Isaev, 26, as the organisers of the attacks.

Let us note here that yesterday, on January 29, two alleged accomplices of the above suicide bombers – brothers Magomednabi and Tagir Batirov were detained in Dagestan. According to investigators, they helped the suicide bombers to get to Volgograd.

Apart from the bombers, the Volgograd explosions killed 34 persons and wounded more than 70.
