Court extends examination on recognition of "Union of Don Women" a foreign agent

The Novocherkassk City Court has extended till January 27 the time allocated for examining the documents on recognition of the public organization named the "Union of Don Women" as a foreign agent, said Valentina Cherevatenko, the leader of the Union.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 11, 2013, the judge appointed an examination of the documents and adjourned the trial in this regard till January 12, 2014.

The date of the following court session has not yet been appointed, as the examination of the documents was extended till January 27, Ms Cherevatenko has reported.

Let us remind you that the Rostov Prosecutor's Office began the check of the Union back in March 2013. The local religious organizations have already been examined.

The Novocherkassk City Court began considering the claim of the City Prosecutor's Office on recognition of the "Union of Don Women" as a foreign agent on October 31, 2013. At the session on November 25, it was decided to invite the expert, whose opinion was used as the basis of the prosecutor's claim. At the session on December 4, the prosecutors moved a new petition asking time for clarification of their claims.
