Special operation in Khasavyurt: two people killed

Two persons blocked in a flat of apartment block in Khasavyurt were killed, said the law enforcement spokesman of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on Thursday, in the course of a special operation, a flat was blocked with an alleged member of the so-called "Khasavyurt" militant grouping inside. According to power agents, he refused to let his wife and a baby out of the flat and opened fire on the policemen. Later, the baby was evacuated.

Then, according to the spokesman, the blocked militants resumed the attack from within the flat: "According to preliminary data, the active phase of the special operation is over – both bandits are dead."

Another Dagestani police source has added that a man and a woman were shot dead in the flat, the "Interfax" reports. According to one of the websites that supports militants in Dagestan, the name of the murdered woman was Aisha Idigova.
