Spontaneous dump liquidated in Sochi

A spontaneous dump that appeared in Parallelnaya Street in Sochi and caused protests of local residents is liquidated. However, district officials and special truck fleet, as well as local residents, believe that the problem is solved only temporarily.

Let us remind you that on December 25 in Sochi about a hundred pensioners held a gathering, where they demanded from the authorities to remove the spontaneous dump in Parallelnaya Street parallel and free the drive along Sevastopolskaya Street from parked vehicles. If not heard, pensioners promised to block traffic in the street.

The trucks of the special fleet could not reach the dump because of the crowd of private and official vehicles parked in Sevastopolskaya Street, Nikolai Esin, an employee of the above special fleet, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"Nine trucks loaded up to the top with garbage were needed to liquidate the dump. Then, they brought and installed a garbage container, which must be emptied every day. However, our trucks still can't get there; therefore, a dump will appear again. This is a temporary measure, said Nikolai Esin, adding that the authorities should take measures to those who park the cars and block the way of special trucks.
