Makhachkala: 2000 come to commemorate victims of Volgograd terror acts

Today, about two thousand people took part in the memorial rally about the victims of the terror acts committed in Volgograd, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by the press service of the head of Dagestan.

According to law enforcement bodies, the terror acts in Volgograd on December 29 at the railway station and on December 30 in the trolleybus were committed by suicide bombers. According to recent reports, the death toll is 36 people, and the count of those wounded is 65.

As reported by the above press service, the rally in Makhachkala was mainly attended by students and teachers of the Dagestani Institute of National Economy. The Republic's leader Ramazan Abdulatipov encouraged students to give blood for the victims of terror acts.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the blood donation campaign in Makhachkala has already attracted about 600 people.

A rally in protest against the terror acts in Russia was also held in the Dagestani city of Kizilyurt.
