Ministry of Health: 41 persons were injured in explosion in Volgograd trolley-bus

According to the recent information, 41 persons suffered in the explosion in the trolley-bus in Volgograd. Of them, 27 persons were hospitalized. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Health. According to the preliminary information, the explosion killed a 5-year-old child. This was reported by Renat Abdeev, Press Secretary of the Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the explosion in the trolley-bus in Volgograd occurred on Monday morning. The explosion was classified as a terror act. According to the preliminary information of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), a terror act was committed by a male suicide bomber.

According to the Ministry of Health, as a result of the terror act, 14 persons were killed, including 11 persons, who were killed on the spot, and 3 other persons, who died on the way to hospital. The condition of victims varies from moderate to extreme severity. This was reported by officials from the Ministry of Health.

In her turn, Veronika Skvortsova, Minister of Health, has reported that the death toll in the terror act in the Volgograd trolley-bus may increase because of the serious condition of the injured persons.

The authorities have already announced that every family of the victims will receive one million roubles from the federal budget.
