Investigators search for two suspects of committing Pyatigorsk explosion

Investigators are working with various versions of involvement of two main suspects in the explosion of a car in Pyatigorsk, said a source from local law enforcement bodies.

The "Interfax" adds with reference to its own sources close to the law enforcement bodies of the Stavropol Territory that so far there is no information about their nationalities.

Earlier, law enforcers have reported that they established the owner of the blown-up car, as well as a possible organizer of the blast.

The car owner is Anton Mishin, born in 1984; however, it cannot be stated that he was involved in the explosion: the car could have been hijacked, said the source.

A man named Rasim was treated as a possible organiser of the explosion; a policeman described him "as a man of Caucasian appearance, but having also Slavic traits," aged 23-25.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the explosion occurred around 7:15 p.m. on December 27 near the building of the GIBDD (traffic police) in Circassian Highway in the city of Pyatigorsk. According to preliminary data, the explosion killed three people. A criminal case was opened under five articles of the Russian Criminal Code; however, there is no "terror act" among them.
