Ossetian football fans suspected of inciting ethnic hatred

The Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) for the Republic of Ingushetia has instituted a criminal case on the video entitled "Ingushes are shame of the Caucasus" which was posted on the "YouTube" on the Internet.

The reason for the investigation was a complaint filed by the Ingush regional branch of the political party "National Security of Russia" and sent to the Chairman of the ICRF, the head of the local department of the Russian FSB, and the Russian General Prosecutor about inciting hatred or enmity, and humiliation of human dignity.

"The video was filmed by fans of the 'Alania' FC during the match with the 'Angusht' FC, which took place on July 13 at the Pyatigorsk stadium, as Visit Tsoroev, the leader of the Ingush branch of the above party, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"The video sounds insults toward the Ingush nation that humiliate human dignity and incite ethnic dissention," said Visit Tsoroev.

At present, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments from the officials of the fan club of the "Alania" FC on the instituted criminal case.
