Sochi townspeople complain about builders who failed to timely supply heat to residential houses
Nearly one hundred thousand residents of Sochi remain without hot water and central heating. A source from the Mayoralty has promised that heat and hot water will be supplied before December 5.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that about 100,000 residents of the Tsentralny District of Sochi have lived six months without hot water.
On the last day of autumn, the problem was not solved. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt from the heating network that the reason was in delayed pipe-laying to the Olympic University from Boiler House No. 14, which is performed by a building company.
The building company refused to comment on residents' complaints.
According to Lyudmila Shestak, a City Assembly Deputy from the CPRF, every day dozens of townspeople complain to her about the absence of heat.
"Basically, they are pensioners and families with small children. For half a year people cannot take a bath or a shower. And now, when in the evening the temperature drops down to 7 degrees, residents of apartment houses remain without heat; they are just freezing and become sick," Lyudmila Shestak told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
