Orhan Djemal: association of North-Caucasian natives detained in Moscow with "Al-Takfir wal-Hijra" is doubtful

Experts doubt the affiliation of the natives of Northern Caucasus detained in Moscow to the grouping of "Al-Takfir wal-Hijra". An adept of "Al-Takfir wal-Hijra" will not use modern weapons, the observer Orhan Djemal has noted.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 26 and 27, in Moscow, 15 persons were detained, including natives of Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia and Kalmykia, who, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), were members of the organization "Al-Takfir wal-Hijra". In the course of the searches conducted in a rented apartment in Moscow, in which the detainees lived, law enforcers found three improvised explosive devices (IEDs), combat and traumatic weapons, the Russian MIA reports.

The organization became known not for terrorist activities, but by its "positioning", since it states that "all things that did not exist under the Prophet are improper." This was stated by Orhan Djemal, an observer of the "Izvestia", when he commented on the report on detention of members of the "Al-Takfir wal-Hijra" on the "Dozhd" (Rain) TV Channel.

"Of course, when our law enforcers state that they detained members of 'Al-Takfir wal-Hijra' with firearms, I can believe that the detainees have been caught with firearms, since it is unlikely that such amount of weapons was planted on them. However, I doubt that the detainees are members of 'Al-Takfir wal-Hijra'," the observer has concluded.
