Houses of relatives of suspect of killing Sheikh Saeed Chirkey burnt down in Dagestan

In the village of Ashilta, Untsukul District of Dagestan, two houses inhabited by the families of Magomedali Amirkhanov, detained on suspicion of organizing the terror act on August 28, 2012, in which Sheikh Saeed Chirkey was killed, and his brother Amirkhan Aldamov, who was killed in March this year, were burnt down. People did not suffer from the fire, said Magomednur Nazirbegov, the head of the village.

According to his story, the fire occurred at night on November 23.

"One of the houses was a home of the mother, wife and three children of Magomedali Amirkhanov; the other house was inhabited by the old man Magomed Shamilov and Amirkhan's family – three women and three children. Now, they live with their relatives," Magomednur Nazirbegov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He has added that on the following day after the fire the village was visited by the police and fire-fighters. "Investigation is underway; they try to define the cause of the fire," said the head of the village.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that at night on January 5, three houses belonging to Amirkhanov's family were burnt down in the Untsukul District of Dagestan. On February 15, there was a fire in the house of Shikhmirza Labazanov, another suspect of the terror act on August 28, 2012. Then, his relatives spoke about arson.
