Sapiyat Magomedova: power agents detain witnesses in Magomed Gamzatov murder case
Five witnesses in the murder case of five people in Kizlyar, who were to take part in today's court session, were detained at the exit from the city and taken to the police division, said Sapiyat Magomedova, the lawyer for the victims; however, police say they have no information about the detainees.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 22 the Supreme Court of Dagestan in Makhachkala planned to hold a session on the murder of Magomed Gamzatov, a deputy of the city assembly, his brothers Osman, Yusup and Gazidibir, and his nephew Magomed Omarov. They were all killed in a brawl with use of weapons, which occurred in Kizlyar on March 18, 2012. On March 19 and 21, 2012, their relatives blocked the Federal Highway Rostov-Baku, demanding to dismiss the head of the Kizlyar District Andrei Vinogradov, whose bodyguards, according to relatives, were participants of the above armed incident.
The lawyer Sapiyat Magomedova says that the police have intimidated the witnesses, who were to come to the court today.
The OVD (Interior Division) of Kizlyar has not received the detained witnesses, the on duty officer of the OVD told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
