Karabulak residents report demolition of another house in Rabochaya Street
As reported by locals, on Thursday, November 19, the authorities of the city of Karabulak (Ingushetia) began the demolition of No. 20 in Rabochaya Street. According to their story, tenants are not allowed into their apartments, where their belongings are still left. In his turn, the Mayor Magomed Bariev has asserted that the dismantling of three houses in Rabochaya Street was suspended.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 19 Karabulak residents complained about the start of demolition of No. 21 in Rabochaya Street. According to their story, they were forced to move into new apartments, despite the fact that their house was not in the category of dilapidated housing.
"Only needy people, invalids and families with children are still living in our house, which was not a dilapidated one. It was made such by the workers, who are ruining everything here," said Olga Shivtsova, who lives in No. 21. According to her story, she – a Category 2 invalid – is provided with a flat smaller in area than the one she has now.
The two-storey houses that were built in early 1960s were found dilapidated; they are in poor condition, the Mayor of Karabulak Magomed Bariev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "They have rotten pipes and dampness; all the communications need replacement. Residents of these three houses are offered nice apartments: with wonderful plumbing, hot and cold water. This is the house in Oskanov Street, where apartments are provided to the tenants of the houses in Rabochaya Street; it was built by a special energy-saving technology," said Bariev.
