In Kharachi, clash between local residents and police occurs
In the village of Kharachi of the Untsukul District of Dagestan, during the operational investigative activities, a clash between believers of mosque and the police occurred. This was reported by a source at the Untsukul ROVD (District Interior Division).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the village of Kharachi was blocked by power agents starting from 2:00 p.m. of November 15. Four residents of the village, including Gadjimurad Saladinov, the head of the village, were detained by the power agents and brought to one of the police stations for questioning. Officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have stated that in the village, the power agents are carrying out special operations to verify operational information.
"We were checking the operational information. To check it, policemen approached the mosque. After prayer, three believers were detained in the mosque, and the policemen planned to bring them to the district police station for a conversation; however, local residents, who witnessed the detention, threw several grenades to the policemen, and one of the grenades exploded. No one suffered in explosion of the grenade," a source from the police told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to the source, at present, the police search for the persons who threw grenades to the policemen.
