MfE and Danish Embassy disclose no details about disappearance of John Styles in the mountains of North Ossetia
The British diplomatic mission in Russia and the Department for North Ossetia of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), which are jointly investigating the disappearance of John Styles, a member of the Danish Refugee Council, in the Caucasian Mountains, refuse to report any details of the incident and its investigation to journalists.
Let us remind you that on November 10 the 52-year-old director of the Russian representative office of the Danish Refugee Council went alone towards one of the peaks in the Kurtatin Gorge of the republic and disappeared in the border area. It has been reported that Mr Styles is an experienced mountaineer.
The British Embassy to Russia is rendering all possible assistance to the North-Ossetian MfE in the search for the missing British citizen John Styles, as Mikhail Menshikov, deputy of the official press secretary of the British Embassy, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The Embassy said nothing about the circumstances of John Styles' disappearance. "So far, we cannot talk about it," said Menshikov.
The MfE for North Ossetia has also refused to comment.
The Danish Refugee Council is one of the largest humanitarian organizations working in Northern Caucasus in the field of refugee rights.
