Karabakh National Democrats joint Movement-88

The creation of the new social and political organization Movement-88, initiated by the deputy of the Karabakh parliament Eduard Agabekian, was announced in Nagorny Karabakh in February 2004.

The aim of the movement is to restore the national spirit which prevailed in Karabakh in 1988 and to build open civil society based on the national idea.

Among the organization's priorities are the participation in the parliamentary elections in the summer of 2005, adoption of the constitution, revision of the manpower policy, and development of the all-sufficient economy based on high technologies.

On April 2, Eduard Agabekian arranged a press conference, in the course of which Chairman of the National Democratic Party of the Republic of Nagorny Karabakh Murad Petrosian announced that his party became a collective member of Movement-88.
