In Sochi, court marshals evict Toromonyan family

In Sochi, court marshals have started to evict members of the Toromonyan family from the house belonging to them. A road included in the list of the Olympic facilities is to be constructed at the place of the Toromonyan family's house. Residents of the house, including six children, claim that they have nowhere to go.

Let us remind you that the land plot on which the house belonging to the Toromonyan family is located is withdrawn by the court decision for the construction of the Olympic facility an alternate road of Kurortny Avenue. Officials from the city administration believe that most of the land plot on which the house is located (0.23 ha) is a municipal property. 1.3 million roubles were transferred to the three co-owners of the house to their accounts at Sberbank. The family members believe that the assessment of their property was conducted with violations.

"Six families with children, 15 persons in total, cannot really buy anything for 4-5 million roubles in Sochi," Nina Toromonyan has stated.

"They force us with children to the street in winter. And they also deprive us of registration on the eve of the Olympic Games. As you know, persons not registered in Sochi have no right to be here, since it is a violation of the passport regime. Judges and the city administration have destroyed the fates of six families," Annik Toromonyan has said.
