Bomb planted in restaurant defused in Makhachkala

Combat engineers have defused an improvised explosive device with capacity of 12 kg of TNT left by unidentified persons at the restaurant "Golden Empire" in Makhachkala. This was reported by the Operational Headquarters in the Republic of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that last night the restaurant "Golden Empire" was visited by unidentified persons who shot several times to the ceiling, threw a package with a suspicious object and fled.

The package turned out to be an improvised explosive device, and it was defused by combat engineers from the FSB Department for Dagestan, who used a manipulation robot, the "Interfax" reports.

The unidentified persons approached the restaurant in a car that they took away from a local resident who worked as a private taxi driver. According to his story, three men threatened him with a pistol and forced him out of his VAZ-217030 car.

The unidentified persons left the restaurant and fled in the same car, which was found 20 minutes later in the course of operational activities. This was reported by the statement posted on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan.
