Protesters burn Georgian President's effigy down

On September 29, several hundred residents of the capital of Georgia, who are not satisfied with the pace of restoring justice in the country, held an action near the parliament building in central Tbilisi.

"We've come here to ask our executive and legislative officials, why they are not in a hurry to fulfil their promises to restore justice in the country," said Yuri Vazagashvili, the father of the murdered Zurab Vazagashvili and one of the organizers of the rally.

In the square in front of the parliament building, the protestors demanded to restore justice in the country and to fulfil the promises given by the President of Georgia, the "Vesti" reports.

The protestors burned down effigies of Mikhail Saakashvili, incumbent President of Georgia, David Bakradze, the presidential candidate from the "United National Movement" (UNM) and the leader of the parliamentary minority, and, together with them, photos of UNM members, the "Interfax" reports.
