Volgograd Mayor promises hunger-striking parents to address their problems

On September 26, in Volgograd, participants of the hunger strike organized by parents of many children met Irina Guseva, City Mayor, who promised to address their problems. Irina Guseva said that she would find the time to visit each hunger-striker. The Mayor has emphasized that she is interested "not in a single solution, but rather in a complex approach." Let us remind you that on September 23, in Volgograd, 12 parents of many children went on a hunger strike. At present, nine persons participate in the hunger strike. On September 25, hunger-strikers met government officials at the public reception of Dmitry Medvedev and discussed the issues of education and social protection. The Minister of Education has promised them to solve problems of payment for kindergartens.
