In Volgograd, participants of a rally against increased housing and utility urged to recognize the work of the regional, city and district officials in charge of maintaining order in the communal sphere unsatisfactory and dismiss them.

The event was held on Sunday in front of the Palace of Culture "Tsaritsyn Opera" in Krasnooktyabrsky District of Volgograd. Dmitry Karpov, the organizer of the rally and the first secretary of the district committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the rally was attended by 90 people, mostly pensioners.

"Now, the government has brought in a bill on implementation of social norms on consumption of housing and utility services. It means that we'll be given 150 litres of water per person and 80 kilowatt-hours of electric power per family per month. And that is be consumed in excess will be paid at triple-fivefold rate," Nikolai Arefiev, the Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPRF and an MP of the Russian State Duma, said addressing the rally.

Let us remind you that earlier the managing companies of Volgograd had been criticized by deputies of the Regional Duma. In particular, the managing company "Zhilyo-46" has rising debts for consumed resources, but buys expensive jeeps, said Deputy Alexander Potapov.

The debts of the managing companies to suppliers of resources is more than 3 billion roubles, as the "Caucasian Knot" was informed at the press service of the administration of Volgograd. The bosses of the managing companies claim that their debts are caused by non-payment by the population.
