In Sochi, Lyudmila Demerchyan reports on investigator's unlawful actions with regard to her husband

The investigator, who carries out the investigation into the case on charges against builder Mardiros Demerchyan of defaming policemen, tried to bring Mardiros Demerchyan to the investigating authorities for polygraph examination. However, the investigator failed to present any documents to justify his claims. This was reported by Lyudmila Demerchyan, the builder's wife.

"On August 21, at about 5:00 p.m., our house located in Peace Street was approached by a car, and two men went out of it. One of them was investigator Artyom Semenets. They started calling me. My wife did not let me go out to them, since she feared for my life and left the house herself," Mardiros Demerchyan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"Artyom Semenets and the second unidentified man, who introduced himself as an investigator from the city of Essentuki, said that they came to conduct investigation into the criminal case on against my husband for defaming policemen and that they were to take my husband to some place for polygraph examination. They refused to say to where exactly they wanted to bring my husband and on the basis of what document," Lyudmila Demerchyan has said.

Alexander Boichenko, an advocate of Mardiros Demerchyan, treats the actions of the investigator as unlawful.

"He has no right to disturb the family members at their home without any summon and without legal documents. His every action should be accompanied by the documents," the advocate has stated.
