Local resident kidnapped in Makhachkala, his brother reports

Today, Magomed Magomedov, a resident of Makhachkala, was kidnapped by unidentified persons, said his brother; while other relatives filed an application to the on duty unit of the local police; and the Kirov ROVD (District Interior Division) has confirmed the receipt of the application.

Kerogly Magomedov has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that his younger brother, Magomed Magomedov, born in 1984, was kidnapped by unidentified persons this morning.

According to Kerogly, the incident occurred at about 10:40 a.m. at No. 4 Alexander Nevsky Street. Under various estimates, from 8 to 15 persons in civilian clothes got out of two vehicles, and, keeping Magomed Magomedov at gunpoint, took him away to some unknown place.

The brother has added that Magomed Magomedov was married and worked for the "Rybnadzor" (Fishing Inspectorate). "No violations on his part have been registered. The only possible reason for his kidnapping could be in his commitment to Salafism," says the relative.

Now, the whereabouts of the kidnapped person is being established, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the Kirov ROVD.
