Law enforcers plant weapon and detain Rustam Khaibulaev, Buynaksk resident, his wife asserts

Relatives of Rustam Khaibulaev, a resident of Buynaksk, detained on suspicion of illegal possession of weapon, claim violations committed by law enforcers in the course of the search carried out at the house.

On July 20, the house of Rustam Khaibulaev, born in 1972, was searched. Policemen claimed they found ammunition. On July 23, a pre-trial restriction measure in the form of arrest was pronounced to Rustam Khaibulaev. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Indira Kadieva, the wife of Rustam Khaibulaev.

The woman claims the search had been carried out with violations. Witnesses were invited not immediately. In the course of the search, a package with a grenade and rounds was found, and Rustam Khaibulaev claimed that the items did not belong to him. In the course of the search, a protocol was not drawn up at the place.

The detainee's wife believes that the decision to pronounce the pre-trial restriction measure was also made with violations.

"Rustam was brought to the court without notifying the advocate hired by that time... I am confused by the fact that policemen ask me to bring clothing for my husband. Why? He was taken out of the house not stripped. I suspect that the clothing was damaged, and he himself was tortured. At present, we cannot prove that, since the advocate has not managed to get a permission to visit him," Indira Kadieva has said.

On July 23, the Rustam Khaibulaev's wife appealed for help to the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy).
