Father of Alla Kurbanova, detained in Dagestan on suspicion of possessing shahid belt declares innocence of his daughter

Alla Kurbanova was detained by Dagestani law enforcers in Makhachkala on suspicion of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, including the so-called "shahid belt". Her father asserts that his daughter is innocent, believing that the only reason for her detention was that she rented housing from the mother of Alla Saprykina, who committed a terror act in 2012.

Alla Kurbanova, born in 1979, was detained on July 5, her father Magdi Kurbanov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, in the last three months his daughter used to tell him that she was shadowed. "She heard that Muslim girls with shahid belts were detained; it indicates that she would not have anything like that with herself," said the father.

On July 19, Magdi Kurbanov submitted his official application to the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy).

He asked to help to free his daughter. "It all happened because of her beliefs and the fact that she had rented an apartment from mother of Alla Saprykina, who had committed a terror act," Magdi Kurbanov wrote in his application.

Let us remind you that on August 28, 2012, Alla Saprykina triggered a bomb in the house of Sheikh Said Afandi in the village of Chirkey, Buynaksk District.
