Supporters of suspect of committing huge road accident near Moscow hold rally in Yerevan

A citizen of Armenia Grachya Arutyunyan, accused of committing a major road accident in Podolsk, suffered abuse and humiliation after the accident, said the participants of the action in Yerevan.

Let us remind you that Grachya Arutyunyan, 46, a citizen of Armenia, is accused of committing a road accident near the town of Podolsk in the vicinity of Moscow, which damaged 63 people, 18 of whom died.

On July 16 in front of the Russian Embassy in Armenia, a protest action was held against humiliating the dignity of the detained Grachya Arutyunyan.

The protesters believe that Russian law enforcers apply "anti-human and anti-legal norms" to Grachya Arutyunyan.

The action was attended by several dozens people; it was organized by the "Ayazn" party', the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The activists handed over a letter, expressing condolences over the tragic accident near Podolsk, to Ivan Volynkin, Russia's Ambassador to Armenia. At the same time, they expressed their dissatisfaction with the measures applied to Grachya Arutyunyan and demanded to ensure a fair investigation into the road accident.
