Johar Tsarnaev’s lawyers ask US Court to appoint fifth defender

Four court-appointed lawyers of Johar Tsarnaev, accused of committing the terror act in the US city of Boston, ask to add one more expert to their team.

On July 15, Johar Tsarnaev's lawyers sent a motion to the Boston Court to engage in the case David Bruck, well-known American attorney said to be a death penalty expert. The lawyers motivate their motion by the fact that the volume of the materials of the case is so huge that they need assistance, American newspapers report.

In total, the defence team of Johar Tsarnaev led by Miriam Conrad includes four lawyers. Earlier, Miriam Conrad herself defended Richard Reid, a British citizen, who several months after the terror acts of September 11, 2001, in the United States, carried in his shoe an explosive device on board of an aircraft of the "American Airlines" and tried to activate it. For that, he was sentenced by the court to three life terms and a fine of two million US dollars.

All the lawyers who defend Johar Tsarnaev are state-appointed advocates, since the defendant and his relatives have no money to hire private lawyers, the "ITAR-TASS" reports.
