Sochi court dismisses advocate's complaint about investigator's inaction in Mardiros Demerchyan's case

The Adler District Court chaired by Federal Judge Sergey Shepilov dismissed the appeal filed by advocate Alexander Boichenko about the inaction of investigator Artyom Semenets, who conducted the investigation into the complaint about beating and torture of builder Mardiros Demerchyan. Alexander Boichenko has announced his intention to appeal against the decision.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 1, the court refused advocate Alexander Boichenko in the consideration of the complaint about the inaction of the investigator who conducted the investigation into the incident with Mardiros Demerchyan. On July 8, Alexander Boichenko again filed a complaint about the inaction of investigator Artyom Semenets.

"The state of my health is not very good. I continue to receive medical treatment. Every day, I go to receive the injections prescribed by a doctor. I am not able to work, since I have no strength. I am anxious about that, since I am to feed my family. I have minor children. I'm afraid to become an incapacitated person. After I got brain concussion, I got headaches. After beating in my chest and stomach, I got aches in those parts of my body," Mardiros Demerchyan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Lyudmila, the wife of Mardiros Demerchyan, said that the employer had still not paid 30,000 roubles to each worker.

Let us remind you that at present investigators check the complaint about Mardiros Demerchyan's beatings; and the decision to institute criminal proceedings will be made till July 19. This was earlier announced by a spokesman of the investigating authorities of the Krasnodar Territory.
