Sapiyat Magomedova: policemen detain several persons who block highway Khasavyurt-Makhachkala

Relatives of Rizvan Yakubov, who was detained this morning in Khasavyurt, blocked the federal highway between Khasavyurt and Makhachkala to protest against the actions of law enforcers. The relatives of Rizvan Yakubov demanded to explain why the young man was detained and to allow his advocate to visit him. Policemen dispersed the protesters, and several persons were detained. This was reported by Sapiyat Magomedova, the advocate of Rizvan Yakubov.

According to the story of the Rizvan Yakubov's relatives, about 150-200 persons blocked the highway.

A sister of detained Rizvan Yakubov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that today, at about 06:00 a.m., the house located in Stroitelnaya Street in Khasavyurt was visited by armed men in masks. "Without presenting their IDs and a search warrant, they forced all persons out of the house and began to carry out the search. They took Rizvan away with them. They said that they would release him till dinner; however, he did not come back," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Albina Oruzbieva, a sister of Rizvan Yakubov.

According to her story, her brother was never involved in anything illegal, and he had no criminal records. Advocate Sapiyat Magomedova has also noted that "no criminal case, protocol or other documents were drawn up against Rizvan Yakubov".

Staff members of the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan were not available for comments.
