Head of the Administration of Cherkessk resigned

Today Mayor of the town of Cherkessk Ruslan Tambiev sent in his resignation during a session of the municipal Duma. The municipal Duma has already announced a competition on holding the office.

Tambiev was elected Mayor by the deputies of the municipal Duma of Cherkessk on December, 1, 2011.

Employee of the Administration of Cherkessk Olesya Mtskhe reported that Tambiev asked the deputies to accept the resignation of his own free will for the reason that he was nominated as candidate by the previous staff of the municipal Duma while the present one was renewed “by practically 50%”. “I think it would be an improper and wrong action to go on work. A new competition should be held”, RIA “Novosti” quotes Tambiev.

Election of a new Head of the municipal Administration in planned on March, 1. Until then, first Deputy Mayor Ahmed Pheshkov will act as Mayor, “Interfax” reports.
