Compact disk "Victims of Political Terror in the USSR" created

A press conference devoted to the presentation of the compact disk "Victims of Political Terror in the USSR" is to be held at the concert hall of the Central House of Journalists on March 24.

Participants in the press conference will be representatives of the organizations that have worked for the disk: Aleksandr Yakovlev, Chairman of the Presidential Commission for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repressions; Arseny Roginsky, Board Chairman of the International Society Memorial; Yuri Samodurov, Director of the Andrey Sakharov Museum and Public Center; and Irina Yasina, Project Director of the Open Russia Regional NGO.

The base of names of almost 1,500,000 victims of political repressions in the USSR is collected on two disks for the first time. The disks also hold documents and directories on the history of the Soviet state terror.
