Committee of Inquiry of Russia: Sultan-Girey Khashagulgov suspected of preparation of assaults at judges and investigators

The killed ex-Deputy Minister of Construction of Ingushetia, member of non-governmental movement “Mekh-Khel” Sultan-Girey Khashagulgov is suspected of preparation of assaults at judges and investigators, the investigation reports.

Sultan-Girey Khashagulgov aged 51 was killed in his house in Nazran in the morning of February, 13. According to the version of members of power ministries, he opened fire during an attempt of detention. During the operation an officer of Department of Federal Security Service got wounded.

Law enforcement officers who carried out search in Sultan-Girey Khashagulgov’s house worked within the framework of operational search actions to establish location of the participants of “Vilaiat Galgaiche” criminal organization, Committee of Inquiry of Russia (CIR) reports.

According to the investigation’s version, Khashagulgov’s younger brother was the organizer of the terrorist act in the Central market of Vladikavkaz in September of 2010.

Investigative bodies also suspected Sultan-Girey Khashagulgov of preparation of infringement on the lives of the judges and the lives of law enforcement officers who were on the list found during search in his house, a report dated February, 15, on the web-site of CIR runs.

One of the Khashagulgov’s relatives who wished to remain anonymous stated that the official version did not square with reality.

“In the morning Sultan-Girey’s house was encircled by a great number of masked men from secret services. They got into his house, took his relatives out, seized him and shot him down point-blank at the entrance. Then they started firing at the house from self-firers and exploded his “Mercedes” parked in the courtyard. They report that Sultan-Girey put up resistance firing back from a gun but this information is untrue for he even had no knife”, the killed man’s relative said to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

He added that Sultan-Girey Khashagulgov associated pressure on his family with his social and political activities. “He hoped very much that direct and free presidential election would be held in the republic”, the man added.
