A policeman wounded as a result of an assault in Khasavyurt

An unidentified person in Dagestan fired upon a senior lieutenant of police, officer of standby unit of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Russia in Khasavyurt. The man was gravely wounded and taken to hospital.

The incident happened when the police officer got out of his car on driving up to his house.

“An unidentified person ran up to him and fired point-blank several times. The policeman was taken to hospital in a grave state”, RIA “Novosti” quotes a representative of the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
