During trial on Yuri Budanov’s case the defendant’s attorney asked the court to protect a witness from pressure

During trial on the case of colonel Yuri Budanov’s murder the defense introduced witness Fataliev’s statement submitted to Public Prosecutor’s office and Committee of Inquiry in which he reported undergoing pressure.

On February, 10, defendant Yusup Temerkhanov’s attorneys said that eyewitness of the murder Ruslan Fataliev who declared during interrogation on January, 14, 2013, that the criminal did not look like Temerkhanov was kidnapped and beaten up by unknown persons. Lawyer Murad Musaev is sure that members of the top brass who demanded evidence against Musaev himself were involved in the abduction.

“Fataliev wrote a statement to Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and investigative bodies and also appealed to representatives of human rights centres, in particular, Svetlana Gannushkina”, Murad Musaev declared in court.

The statement runs that they forced Fataliev to say that Musaev passed him 15 thousand rubles for giving deliberately false evidence in court.
