Sochi: builder Demerchyan reports about attempt to force him to medical examination

In Sochi, three policemen tried to bring the builder Mardiros Demerchyan for a medical examination appointed by the investigator, who is checking the builder's application that he had been tortured at the police station. The policemen abandoned their intention after interference of the advocate, Demerchyan himself told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Let us remind you that that on June 12 Mardiros Demerchyan was detained by the police; and on June 13 he was brought from the police station of the township of Blinovo to the neurosurgery ward of the City Hospital No. 4. Mr Demerchyan told in his interview with the "Caucasian Knot" that he had been tortured by the police.

On June 24, Mardiros Demerchyan went to the polyclinic of the city of Adler and visited a neurologist, a surgeon and an ophthalmologist. "When we went out, we saw three policemen from Blinovo in a car waiting for us," said Mardiros Demerchyan.

According to his story, the policemen tried to force them into the car, citing the need to go for examination to the City Hospital No. 2 of Sochi.

The advocate Alexander Boichenko treats the actions of the investigator and the police as illegal. "Conclusions should be made not by familiar doctors of the investigator, but an officially appointed expert," he said in his interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
