The tenants of a house pulled down in Ingushetia appealed to President of Russia for help

The tenants of a house in the settlement of Ordjonikidzevskoye, Suanzha district of Ingushetia, appealed to President of Russia Vladimir Putin asking to punish the officials through whose fault, in the tenants’ opinion, their dwelling and constitutional rights were violated.

Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” reported that seven families who lived in a two-storey privatized house remained homeless for the reason of pulling their house down. The flats granted to them within the program of resettlement from unfit and decrepit buildings dissatisfied the tenants because they had less space and were located in another settlement.

On December, 19, 2012, Sunzha district court prohibited pulling the house down until a judgement on the civil case came into effect. However, the house was partially pulled down on January, 17.

“The situation when the bailiffs are replaced by the police personnel which violates not only the law on police but also our civil rights is surprising”, the document runs.

The statement was directed to the President's Administration with copies to Prosecutor General of Russia and Director of Federal Bailiff Service on January, 23.

The tenants of the dismantled house are currently staying in the street, among heaps of construction waste, and have to guard their property brought out into the courtyard.

Representatives of Sunzha district Administration earlier declined comment stating that “the conflict was settled long ago”.
